We collaborated with the Marketing and IT teams at AG to create a design system for them to use on multiple sites.
The primary goals for this project were to simplify the navigation, highlight their most popular content, and create a flexible design that would be used as a general template for the ministries and departments moving forward. Their previous site was 7-years old at the time and was overdue for a carefully planned redesign.
We worked together with their internal team to restructure their existing navigation, which had become bloated. The new design featured their content with the highest traffic throughout the home page and we created components that could be re-used throughout their sites and subdomains. We designed several front-end page templates and handed them off to their internal team to integrate into their enterprise CMS. A few of our favorite design features include:
- a custom menu structure for each top-level section based on its content
- an article grid with featured content from their different publications as well as integrated ads
- a custom listing for their Events Calendar
- a Church Directory search with listing and detail pages
